What is a web server?
A web server is a computer software that stores and delivers content for a website such as code, text, images and videos. When a client request to a specific web page, the server make an accurate response to client. Computer web browser program is the most common client as we know. Web browser download documents of a website when a user click on the web link.
Web server communicate with browser through Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). The content of most web pages are encoded by Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). Web pages content can be static (for example image, text and video) and dynamic (for example listing, counting price list, processed output). We can create a dynamic web page through some scripting languages such as PHP, JavaScript, ASP, Python and Ruby. These scripting languages are encoding business logics and it is supported by web server.
